Ok, it's not the best photo in the world. But what I think is going to sink me here is submitting something that will probably require some research to understand. Strangely though, it was the first thing that came to mind when I read the challenge description - DIY brain surgery... I was too much of a coward to shoot it with the drill spinning, and I couldn't get it rigged up to spin slow enough.

post: by consensus it appears that I have a kiwi for a head lol

Would be alright. You would have to have ROCKS in your head to try it so it should be safe. Doesn't look like a masonary bit. 9

Good idea and very sharp picture, but to be believable it would be better to break the bit in half to make it appear it was embedded in the skull. Figuring a way to show motion in the drill bit would further improve it, but that could be dangerous.

Nice, at first I thought the head was some fruit, like a kiwi :)

No idea what is going on here (I can only imaging) but tones work well along with the nice sharp subject. Nice job on the lighting, right at that sweet spot for darkness (uncalibrated monitor voters might get cha). Great job, cool concept.

Is that a drill going into a head? Very nice tones. This might be "too outside of the box" but i'll give you a 7 cause it's very good technically.
