I need to visit your portfolio more often. :-) This is exquisite and just perfect in B&W. Were it in color, I think the color might overwhelm the simplicity and elegance that the B&W imparts to this pose and this lighting.

The detail in the feathers is wonderful. really outstanding. but something about the overall shape and tones frightens me.

my first reaction is "dork! you coulda won a ribbon with this if you entered it in a challenge!"

but even though it's a ribbonwinner, I still love it. a sleeping flamingo. I'm not supposed to like this kind of shot, a blacked-out background, but I do. It's like we've entered his dreamless sleep.
