 Photographer’s Notes
In southern Iceland, there is an incredible waterfall at Skogar (Skogafoss). This is a waterfall on an incredible scale and it is approachable on foot to within a few meters of where the water plunges into a pool and flows away as a small river. It is easy to fill the fram with the falling water.
I recognize this may be a somewhat abstract image. Voters here often punish abstracts. And I recognize some voters may wonder if the people are the subject and declare DNMC because they don’t fill the frame. The people are there to provide scale. They cannot be the subject since I don’t know them and clearly they don’t fill the frame.
Interestingly, although advanced editing is allowed in this challenge, I used almost no editing at all.

What a great image. Of course the waterfall is the subject, just like the title says. The people are necessary for scale/reference. I gave it an 8.

It is difficult to say the water is the "subject" here; most would say the figures are I think, and they don't "fill the frame". Lovely image though.

The waterfall fills the frame, but the people become the subject, just by being there. Crop the people out and you get an interesting abstract that does, indeed, fill the frame.
