I like the POV. Exposure seems to need to be a bit lower to avoid the blown highlights.

i dont usually say things like this so please take it in the most constructive way possible but this shot suffers from harsh lighting and just being generally uninteresting, the idea is there tho, perhaps a wooden board in black and white with natural light...sorry just my opinion

The front piece is over-exposed, the board is not flat (I'm assuming it's not actually a board but plastic?), the flash is too strong (Perhaps the onboard flash). The image itself is not very interesting, unless perhaps if you are into chess. I would've cropped the upper portion, cleaned the sheet, and made sure all the colors and exposure was in balance.

Hi whiterook. The camera flash is pretty harsh, you should try to use some diffused light. You haven't gotten the solid chessboard yet that someone recommended some time back that would help improve the presentation.
