I found this challenge quite difficult, as I guess I have trouble seeing "negative and positive space". When I showed this picture to a friend, this was her comment:
"I know you don't feel this way about your own house being empty and dark--devoid of feeling--but this shot seems to say that in spite of your mood, you can look out and see beauty and life in the world for you to strive for. " Nicely put Pat.

Nice pic. I love the contrast of the jet black with the all the greenary outside. Even the glare on the road is not bad.

think I'd like more happening through the window - good concept though

I like the contrast here, and the focus on the outside of the door is good, too. karmat

In thinking about the photo, ask yourself why so much space around the window? I could not come up with a reason, though the photo is good beyond that point. - mjcecil

the contrast is good, why not have something more onteresting to see on the other side?

nice job fulfilling the challenge, but the photo isn't as interesting as others.

Yep. negative positive. This image depicts the beauty of just going outside.

Meets challenge just fine. I love the greenery outside. The stickers in the window add noting to this otherwise fine image. Well, actually the chair would look better if the frame of the window pane didn't cross it. Good luck in the challenge...it's a tough one! Grayce aka Gracious

I like this use of neg spc, and as such think it is a good photo, however, I find that it does not "engage" my interest a lot. Perhaps you intended the window to be the "focus" of the shot, but I keep looking through the window for something to focus on, and my eyes just can't find anywhere to go. lhall-7

<GBG> I like the feel of this shot...and it's on the challenge! I think the composition could of been improved, chair and window stickers are distracting to me. Over all it's a good job. Score 6 Justine.

Nice composition, but the view is singularly uninteresting.
