We had a great display of crepuscular rays before sunset today! I thought about going down the street for a nice unobstructed view, but wasn't feeling too good so I just took a few shots from the back yard. I'm pretty sure my neighbor who lives in that trailer thought I was nuts...

I really prefer my sky shots with uncluttered landscapes, but sometimes the juxtaposition between the incredible sky and the rural landscape is interesting too.

By the way, this is an HDR image of three exposures, then taken into PS to adjust levels to bring some contrast back and a slight application of Whyeth. The HDR blend is a little sloppy (see those blurry trees) because I wasn't using a tripod, but I figured I could get away with it just this once :-)

This is just stellar. The light beaming from the sun in combination with the old deshevled trailer. Love it.

Awesome shot, I really love the editing! And that trailer works quite nicely for this shot I think.

Very good capture of the sun rays. The old camper is pretty typical -- beautiful landscape with a junker to mess it up.

The processing is absolutely stunning, as well as the sky, of course. And the trailor really adds a cool bit of contrast. Could be a great story here. Absolutely wonderful.

Very interesting photo! I love New Mexico, and this just SCREAMS New Mexico to me. It reminds me of the area outside of Lordsville on the way to Silver City...I'll have to look on the map to see where Polvadera is. The HDR treatment works well, and has allowed the colors to come through. Something like this would be good for the Backlighting Challenge. The sky IS incredible.
