 This Barn Owl was a stunning subject matter for this wings challenge. Incidentally the challenge could not have been more aptly timed as I went to the Settle Falconry Centre withought knowing that "wings" was a challenge title.

Hey there from the Critique Club

Camera Work/Technical: Great depth of field use. I really like the way your subject is isolated from the background. Even still, I think the bid itself needs a bit more focus.

Lighting: Again, nicely used lighting to isolate your subject.

Composition/Content: The composition is lacking. I agree with Trinity_12_12 in that the crop is far too tight on the bird's wings. Beyond that, the overall composition is too centered for my liking.

My Opinion: Not a bad score, but with better composition a a little better focus, I think your score might have pushed up near 6.

I feel the crop is a little tight with the wings touching the edges of the frame but I like the background as it makes the bird stand out really well. The bird seems a bit over bright though as a lot of the texture of the feathers has been lost.

Really like the image, capture the simplicity of the bird nicely. Also created a good contrast between the bird itself and the background behind it. Nice shot

Nice capture, the green bokeh really makes him stnad out. I'm guessing he was a captive one with the bands around his feet?
