I think this image is so spectacular not entirely because of the capture but because of the editing. While I think it's amazing you were able to get this effect out of basic editing, I think it goes against the spirit of the contest rules. Great image nonetheless.
This is a beautiful take of a very pretty city. So cool to see a Swedish town win a ribbon. The yellows are stunning ... you're making me want to get over my dislike of HDR :-) Adding to my favorites. Congratulations on the ribbon!!
It appears that you used a filter on the lens?
great shot, the sky is well done, and the foreground buildings are high in contrast and colour
however, the background buildings are way too dark, aren't they?
I love the colors on this photo. The sky compliments the rooftops of the closer buildings and the yellow building on the right pleased my eye even more. Nice shot!
One of my top 2 choices for blue in this challenge. Brilliant location (great positioning of the ship down center), excellent job editing especially for a basic challenge, just a very cool image overall. Good luck on this one!
I don't know where to begin. I love the sharpening you applied here. The colors are rich and nicely saturated. The composition is marvelous. The street leads your eye throught the frame. The copper roofs are quite pleasing to look at. The sky is great. Can I give this an 11?
