 The bloom from a Peace Lily that I have managed to keep alive since Byron's memorial service last March. I have actually kept 10 plants alive, which is a record because I can kill cactus. I feel bound to keep these plants going, as if they help me keep Byron's memory going.

This is quite beautiful and strikes me as somehow very feminine and gentle. The unfocused element really softens it and therefore enhances the lovely gentleness of this whole photograph. Very pretty.

the blur enriches the simplicity of your picture. I'm sure it helps focus on what's important now. You're much better than we, keeping the plants alive.
