yes, it is a tounge in cheek reference to the wtc site (apparently that joke is as jaded as everyone else, and it only took a year). however.

i didnt know that sign was there; i was just on my way to go jogging in central park. i didnt mean to catch the moving subway train and i dont have a clue where that flag came from because i didnt check to see if it was a reflection. i thought the rest of the station was far away enough to be blurred into being 'negative space' but when i looked at all the pictures the ones without the train in them were retarded.

"Oh man!" was my remark when I saw your pic. Really cool effect that you were able to center on that particular section. I bet it took a little moving around to get just the "perfect" angle. Wonderful job. It really touched my heart. You've got a lot of competition, but I hope you win. I'll give you a 10!!

This one is a little busy for me with all the lights going across the bottom. Oh wow, I just noticed the red, white, and blue in the bottom corner in the lights. That is really cool. Did you intend for that? That cool little thing just upped my interest. I was gonna give you a 5, but I changed my mind. 9 (subtle hints :)

I'm having a hard time deciding on this photo... is the negative space the dark area above the signs, or is the negative space a reference to the world trade center? If it is the dark area above the signs, i don't really think it is an effective display of negative space supporting a subject of your photo. If it is in reference to the WTC, then i don't feel the challenge has been met, because referring to an abstract definition of negative space is not really what this challenge is about, IMO... - jmsetzler

this is really cool - you seem to be alluding to the ultimate negative space occupied by the towers themselves - and the sign itself occupies a kind of referential negative space by having a non-existent destination as its subject. and patriotism too! plus of course the formal composure which involves heavy negative space. pretty amazing stuff. did you have to camp at the subway for long?

I like this and would like it better if I could read the sign and make out a little more here. Nice job. Score 6 Justine

I dont see much negative space. sorry.

This seems strange to me, sort of cold, soul-less even. You need people in the photo to create feeling. How about a sillhouette visible against the passing train? However, I must give you credit for trying an imaginative way of using neg. space.
