Woah, Jeffrey, this one is wild - but I really like it! (As do others obviously, since you have three faves.) A most interesting perspective and processing choice.
The cracked pavement is an excellent textured backdrop. I like the funhouse mirror effect, with those teeny (respectively) feet at the end of the candy-cane leading line.
I don't know why but I like this. I'm sorry I can't be more helpful. Usually I find feet photos very amatuer and like "hey my feet are right there let me take a photo of them" but this def has an artistic feel.
Barefoot on the pavement? The colors? Something. It's nice.
"Barefoot on the pavement
Warm against our feet
Houses filled with music
As we drift through lonely streets"
Moon Over the Freeway- The Ditty Bops
(as soon as I typed my comment that song popped into my head. They are my favorite band!)
I absolutely love this photo. From looking at the thumb I thought it was a peppermint or a candy cane. :) Great DOF. I also love the texture in the ground and the overexposed feet.
This is a fish made out of candy cane, with strangely evolved grabby teeth. I love it. I think the candiness of the pants contrasting with the dark, cracked street is what makes this so compelling.
very alluring image..foole dme in the thumb, though thtis might be a close petals/stamen flower shot or maybe a fish? but the feet attached to the long shirt/legs very unexpected! look great against the textures of the pavement!
From the thumb, I thought it was some kind of fish :) Then the unexpected popped up showing the very cool angle of the guy's legs and feet. I love that grungy backgroud!
Jeff, cool combination: the great sharpness of the cracked pavement and the blurred shirt to toes you. From the thumbnail I thought the toes and the striped shirt looked like a fish (OK, maybe I am NUTS).
Cool shorts! It appears to be a long way to your knees. Fun shot, and it seems disorienting rotated this way instead of legs at the bottom of the frame as you would see it thru the viewfinder. That adds to the fun. I can't wait to see what "serious" images you will be getting with this lens soon.
