I'm badly nearsighted, and I've worn glasses since I was 7. Many people, including my kids, have wondered what I see without them.

This shot comes pretty close to demonstrating it. I put the camera in macro mode and it actually focused through my glasses. What you see over the top of the lens is close to what I see without them.

I like this one because it has three views of the truck and lights: two through the glasses and the blurry one in the middle.

Here's another image with the same idea:

This is a pretty nifty perspective - car triplets. ;)

I'm not crazy about the other one, but this came out really well. I think I must give this a try sometime.

This one holds more impact as an image for me than the other. The duplication of subject, the varied focus, the slight warping through the lenses, the overall darkness to it, while at the same time featuring glaring lights. An exhibit of near-sightedness that holds its own as an image, as well.

I like this one much more than the other version, I think because of the colors and because of how well the elements hang together. The dark background makes an excellent contrast and sets off the gold tones well, the effect of colored balls (like party lights) contrasts with an obvious street setting, focused shapes through the glasses contrast with blurry shapes outside of the frames. This could be put into a teaching file as example of how a photographer can translate an rather mechanistic intellectual concept for an image into an artistic rendition.

That's cool - a natural dyptich. Love the amber tones too.
