Had to clean out a glare from the red light that took away from the rest of the red on the sword (reluctantly), then cropped. I had a better shot that didn't have as much glare, but didn't have the interest of the red I had on this one. I hated to do that much editing to the picture, but I do like the end result. Hope you guys do too!

Hi and greetings from the CC. Good choice for your ISO setting, for a dark image there is no visible noise that I can see, I do like that you used 'colored' light I think that was a good and creative idea. And your light choices is certainly IMO where the interest of your shot lies. The reflection of the red and the shadow of the blue are points of interest to me. I would of prefered if the red on bottom was not cropped so tightly. I think technically this shot is well done, I am wishing for a bit more of a wow with perhaps the composition, the sword on a more intense diagonal perhaps making it look like it is 'stuck' into something? May have helped. My other more critical comment is about subject choice, i think it is good to ask does this subject have a wide or limited interest to people? Just a thought, good work and happy shooting!

Like the lighting, well maybe except for the blowout on the right, and the colors and the detail...just don't like the subject... Great shadow, like the colors as they diminish beyond the subject.

Cropped a bit tight on right.

at last - one of the few that does does seem to satisfy the principles of "painting with light" - either a moving light source or long exposure with repeated illumination from different locations

Not much of interest here for me.

Nice use of white balance to allow the filtered colour to come through. I'm not sure about the application, though. The blue works very well - cold and threatening (a star filter would have made the hotspot sparkle). The red, though, is less menacing than simply warm. The other way around might have worked better for me. 6
