 Went to the state capitol and there are squirrels, pigeons and blackbirds everywhere. This little guy had been eating pecans out of our hand and the pigeon decided he wanted a piece of the action.

Ran the Lucisart exposure filter, converted to BW.

it seems lucisart is the new 'something or other' for us in dpc!!! .. i totally love it and just about cant do a process without trying it out .. it works so well for this image .. a fantastic photograph and an excellent process .. :)

First, I love the subjects; second, I love the composition of the critters facing each other with differing focus; third, I love your processing and B&W conversion. In other words, I love this image!

Fun, funny story to this. I like how their shapes mirror each other. I wonder how it'd look to crop tightly around their fronts to emphasize how the front of the squirrel matches the curve of the front of the bird.

ooh you're right! they eare sooo darned cute! I like that pidgeon, unobstrusively hanging in the bg=can almost hear him cooing!
