today we went to the thriving metropolis of picton .. this is the main street looking a bit different than to the naked eye !!
i wanted to photograph ppl but we didnt have time .. driving home i set aperture and slower shutter speed to get movement .. i was a passenger this time ..

i've put another one in for day 2 coz no-one seems to like the main street of picton .. i dont blame them !!

alicia redjulep asked how i got this effect. it was the result of trying to understand and recreate a certain step in the dragoniser action .. its where it does a gaussian blur and yet its like a line drawing.

in this image i did an adjustment layer in curves ...
then i duplicated the background layer and inverted it .. on that layer i then did blending mode colour dodge ... a guassian blur making it very contrasty .. and then made it blending mode overlay ..
i still dont fully understand wot they're doing in the dragoniser action but i've found some excellent effects when trying to work it out ..

I really like this, the strong diagonals and colours are somehow restful which is a bit confusing diagonals aren't usually restful. There's just so much about some of these blurry images that challenges the way I think. Well done.

I'm not sure I know why you say other people don't like it. The comments look pretty good to me. Anyway I think it's really nice, and would definitely be my preferred one of the two you posted for day 2.

I actually like this one better than the other one. Only thing for me is I'm not getting movement, just the action. But still, nice. :)

Hey, Roz! I really like the diagonal lines here! Do I detect a little cross processing? :)

very geometric, how the light plays through the image. colors also appealing & fortuitously placed to keep the light flowing in a way which suits the image (cars, placards, etc).

nice one!

This is great, and the punched up colors work well here. I immediately thought of Deb's shot, too.

Fantastic abstract feel, Roz. Looks like a a painting. What did you do? Other than the slow shutter speed...

I do like it. I'm just jumping in :) It's bold and bright and makes a very cool abstract. Matter of fact, tho the Day 2-1/2 has very cool impressions of the trees and stuff -- I think I like the colors and overall look of this one better.

That's what I love about you Roz. . .while everyone else struggles to get their photo-a-day in, you're throwin'your cool stuff in right and left several a day :)

Hey Roz I really like this. The shapes sort of smudged in to create an excellent abstract. Nice.

Nice diagonals! This is reminiscent of one of my fav shots by melethia. Great colours here.
