Nothing too special in this approach - just used a wide aperture and then jiggled the camera very slightly as I pressed the shutter.

Your title drives me a bit here (in a good way); I mean, it really is a riot, the flowers have finally had it having to put up with pollution, and noise, and people in general, and they're rioting, coming together, getting ready to burn and pillage. Floral mob mentality!

Wow - what colors! That light thing in the middle back provides a good focus for the eye. And the one focused flower in the front is the kick. Love this.

Love the flowers, wish they were in my yard! :)

Can see a child laying down in this field, looking above their head, this could possibly be the scene that they see. :)

Impressionistic, pretty & bright in the colors. I really like the small red blooms you've focused clearly in the fg. good effect.

Very nice. I tried something like this today, but couldn't get it right. Guess I'll have to keep trying.

The complementary green/red really works. Like someone took a painbrush and just went dab dab here and there. It's a happy photo. I like it. Blur is GOOD STUFF.

Excellent, excellent, excellent. The lack of focus accentuates the the "environment of light". One sees this as one "really" sees it if one sticks one's face in the middle of this scene.

Heh! The description of your method - especially "jiggled the camera as I pressed the shutter" - pretty much expresses how I shoot every day! The blur suits this very well. Soft, quiet - inviting into the beyond.
