Great contrast and a fantastic choice of selective desaturation. I really enjoy these street scene images especially of people playing instruments. It is almost like they are made for street photography. Great work. Pity it wasn't top 50.

I'm sorry but the selective desat in this shot makes no sense to me...

I like the selective desat to bring out the colors of the clothes and saxophone. The lighting on the face is a bit harsh

Nice composition and blur in the background. I like the pp work as well.

this would be cool tilted - crop so all those vertical lines are like 30-45 degrees - I bet that would add energy that the composition is lacking.
Selective desat hurts this IMO, draws the eye away from his excellent face.

Very nice capture. Could be much better without some selective desaturation

Really nice shot, but the shirt is crying for attention, taking my eyes away from the subject.

selective desat doesn't add here

Nice tones but I don't like the selective colour on this as it takes your eye away from the man and to his shirt.

honestly would have enjoyed this much bettter w/out the selective desat. It can stand on its own without the gimmick.

This would have been perfect if his hat were also left in color (even if it was black)

Nice use of desaturation. I would've like to see that hat "un-desatted"

don't like the selective desaturation at all. I think it may have ruined a perfectly good photograph. 6

I like the idea here however I would have considered not desaturating the musician as well. The selective coloring helps separate the subject from the background but with him being desaturated as well it makes it seem like the subject is the shirt and the sax. Otherwise, well done and quite pleasing to look at.
