 I never really realized just how surrounded we are by street signs until I set out to capture one on CCD for this challenge. They are everywhere, and so many of them are the same - a lot of repetition in my city with one way street signs, and then there's the ubiquitous stop signs and no parking signs...

This was a difficult challenge because of the sheer quantity of the subject - you can't help but get the feeling that nothing you are shooting is very original. The best I could come up with was a playful angle and a nice blue sky backdrop with some fluffy cloud. I like the saturation and the contrast, but all in all, I don't think it's a very exciting shot.

Photoshoping here included the usual suspects - some auto contrast and auto color, some faded gausian blur and some unsharp mask, and a little saturation tweak for taste.

I really wanted to take the blur tool to the lower edge of the sign to dull the sharpness of the edge a little, but those are the rules.

Looking forward to seeing what everyone else is going to have for this one!

way too much saturation. The color in the sky is cool, but its breaking apart from oversaturation.

Great color, great angle, and the high contrast lighting is very appropriate. There's nothing to indicate the size of the sign, and that works well here. Great job!
