well here is my opinion,

technically all your shots are pretty good, you mastered your camera and you know your way around it,

the key is how to present your subject and how to impress the viewer,

i am not a still life photographer, so i can't tell you how much it relates to the challenge, but probbaly some viewers thought it did not.
another thing alhtough the lighting is great, the image is missing a kick, in other words it does not get a reaction from me(except of course it's a techincally good pic).
for example when i saw de sousa's shot i was like DAMN that's good.

i hope that was helpful

Nice shot, I would have prefered more lighting on the orange.

nice try with the lighting. i find the shadows a bit dark. some fill light or a reflector to the right would give a better effect IMO. the water drops on the can adds a good look

Would of been better if the elements were group together

Just too many things here. Seems unappealing to my eye.

Mmmmm Both sound good right now. Maybe 1 more light source, the orange is kind of lost in the photo.

Great job making it look natural with all those beads of dew....nice lighting too. You handled the fill side so well that everthing is 3d....9
