 Day 21, Self Portrait.

Actually taken on Day 20, when I was trying out the Pentax 10-17mm zoom lens in the camera store. Very impressed, because I've been wanting a fish-eye lens forever.
The poster in the middle is advertising the special edition K10D because it won the Grand Prix in the Camera of the Year (two different organisations, including one in Europe, I think). It says 5000 K10D GP kits were made to be sold throughout Japan, this store had 50 pre-orders, and there are 5 2 left. (That's the big square box on the second bottom shelf on the right).

I did take some self-portrait today, truly.

I will neither confirm nor deny at this stage whether I bought the lens.

mad shot ... i'm guessing its you in the screen? ... a very original self portrait ... & i'm hoping that if you did buy the fish-eye lens the evidence will soon appear in our 50 day side challenge !!.. i would like a fish-eye along with at least two others .. !!!

Very clever way to take that self portrait and the fish eye is super cool * Looks like the sort of shop you could easily spend a lot of money in (yet walk out happy because the prices meant you had 'saved' a load of cash too)

* Please note, the sighs longingly comment was directed at the fish eye rather than yourself...You seem like a good chap but I want camera equipment

Sneaky way of doing a self-portrait! Extra points for that.

I'm not crazy about fish-eyes, but it works very well here -- camera gizmos and ads all over the place -- controlled (sort of) photographic chaos. I really like this.

I think fisheye lens photos can be tricky, but this is very cool with everything in the image. GREAT idea for a self portrait, makes me giggle a bit.
