July 14th:
I was with my friend at her dad's house this weekend in Devine (tiny little town south of San Antonio) for a friend's wedding. On her dad's property is this old broken down blue bus (not really sure how it got there). It was a very busy weekend with all the wedding stuff, but I made sure I had extra time to shoot some pictures of it because it was really interesting inside & out.

I like the contrast between the old broken down bus and the poppies (?) That is pretty wild that one would just have a bus sitting around in there yard lol. I think that would look pretty good in my weed garden. :D

great shot kelly ... love the colours and the way there's no track visible leading to the bus .. the bus doesnt look broken down even .. love the door in the back .. our buses have doors in the side and the emergency window at the back .. the door in the back might just be because its an old bus? ... great to see another person totally taken over by dpc !! .. check this out you know you're spending too much time in DPC when

The only thing missing is a hippie to live in the school bus. I really wish it were a yellow school bus, then it would match the pretty flowers. But what can ya do?

This is interesting and I must agree with jionfrommk that it is great that you go to a wedding and photograph an old bus.

A bus in the grass - alas! Cool looking old bus. I had a boyfriend once who lived in a bus like that - long story, really - but I spent quite a bit of time in it and it was fun - well in a cramped kind of way. Anyway - I like your photo!

I've never seen a blue school bus before. Great find, and nice image.

Why i love DPC....

Reason 246, There always seems to be very cool broken down and abandonned vehicles that people find

Reason 247, DPCers go to weddings and photograph broken down buses

A nice picture that you feel must have a long story behind it

Cool colors... I think I've seen too many horror films, this makes me think of bad things happening! :-}>

Reminds me of the old hippie school buses. The field of flowers is appropriate.

I like how the bus appears to be driving into the field of flowers. You've captured it at the perfect angle!

I like how it is just sitting there with nothing else around to give it any context.
