 The view from my kitchen window is into the small backyard of a house of "Christian Brothers." This lone religious statue used to face my window, but now faces the opposite direction.*

The Brothers are generally good (mostly quiet) neighbors. Over the years I have seen many come and go, some friendly, others aloof.

I had a hard time deciding which photo to use today. I took this late morning before the direct sunlight disappeared (as happens when surrounded by tall buildings). Cropped, cloned out the arm of a plastic chair which intruded into the frame, and added a small border. What may appear to be motion blur around the edge of the statue is actually just varying light.

*Yes, it has been suggested that Mary has turned her back on me. (!)

I love the hazy feel, that would be a very cool image to see out of the window.

Very mysterious feel to this image, I love it! It does look sort of ghostly; love the dof with seeing the cracks on the statue and the fuzzy foreground leaves.

lol do you know why it does NOT face your window any more?

This is a cool ghostly pic. Sounds like you have a lot of interesting stuff in your neighborhood.

this has a just about ghostly feel to it especially with the out of focus leaves .. i would'v liked to see the statue when i was facing us .... i've been posting more than one per day in our 50 day side challenge in the last couple of days, and i hope no-one actually minds .. ppl can decide not to look at them of course .. :)
