 This is what I probably should have entered in the behind contest. The gerbera was in a glass bottle and lit with four clamp lamps...2 each with a 100w halogen bulb pointed down from above the shooting area...and 2 each with a 120w halogen flood lamp pointing up on either side of the subject to a piece of white poster board over the shooting area. I sat below the shooting area on the floor and shot with the camera on tripod and manual remote.

This is so utterly stunning and breath-taking. When I opened the thumnail, I was shocked at the detail. It looks more realistic than reality itself. I don't know how you did it, but this is absolutely glorious.

what a fabulous image! the lighting and the setup work perfectly! you have amazing detail there too, the petals seem like buttery smooth contrasted with the stem...
