This is one of mom's flowers out front of our house. There just happened to be this little bugger hangin' out & he actually waited for me to get my tripod out.
Used the radial gradient to make a slight vignette to darken up the bkgrd.

Great colors, I like the contrast between the green and orange -- really makes the tiny insect stand out. I like the dark background, too. Good detail (sharpness)and the close crop works.

I love the darkened background, it really lights up the flower, and the little buggie on top was the 1st thing that caught my attention, that's cool he stayed long enough for the mini-photo shoot :)

The little green bugger just adds so much to this lily making it much more than another lily.. He couldn't of been in a better spot..
Well done!!!

Wow what a great macro and the insect on it not only adds colour but it transforms it from being 'just' another great flower shot

i didnt even see the bug at first coz i was looking at that excellent text .. love the font and the colour you've chosen for it .. then i read your comment and had another look ... thats soooooo good .. that bug totally makes this flower shot for me .. i'm not into flower pics that much but there've been some really good ones in our 50 day .. this is one of them !!.. love the colours and great vignette ..
if you want to check out some excellent free plugs that include a soft vignette and heaps of other stuff go here .. free xero plug-ins .. click on downloads .. they come in 'sets' of a few plugs in one download ... some of these are just excellent .. :)

Lillies are my favorite flowers :) Square crop works well for this shot and your little bug friend adds a great interest to the shot :)

Very pretty! The shades of orange make this look like a painting. The little bug there adds something interesting to the photo as well.

The petals look so soft and I love the orange. Very nice little bonus with the bug.

I'm not a bug person, but this green guy really does provide a good accent on the orange lily. Good capture of the texture of the petals, too.
