 Photo from Mosfellsveit, near Reykjavik. Countryside of yellow field and then there is this old yellow mailbox on the post shining in the yellow evening sun. Maybe not so much of a landscape.. but no sea in view.

Oh yes, this is a STUNNING landscape! That old yellow mailbox, set off by that field of wildlfowers. Worthy of wall-hanging material for sure. I'm glad the voters agreed :)

I didn't finish voting on this challenges, so missed this one, but am surprised too that it only received one 10. Looks like jhamou was the only one who voted just right on this one. 13 others who gave it a 9 got close :)

Beautiful! Wonderful extreme saturation, cute foreground detail that really grounds the beautiful but fairly plain scene behind. Lovely lighting and exposure too.

Excellent lighting and color! The corner post location bothers me - IMO it is too close to center and would have been better as the lower left anchor for the picture.

Moving the box off centre and then using the fence line you could create nice leading line. With the box so central it feels like its the subject rather than the fields.

Aside from that you got really great late afternoon light and some really nice colors in the crop.

The focus is on the mailbox, and the field of gold is more the backdrop. May a change of angle would of been better to suit the title.

This is a great shot - just being nit-picky, but the post might be a bit too centered - shift it a tad to the left - still give it an 8 though - no no a 9

Absolutely lovely - one of my top scores in this challenge. My only, hopefully constructive criticism would be that the post and box are rather central in the shot - if this was retaken placing them slight more left or right it would be a fantastic image.
