I don't remember what was in thge bg but it wasn't dark outside yet so it must have just been a dark bg. Had fun playing aroung with pp on this one. I had in my head what I wanted and just played with different stuff until I got what I wanted. I wish the rose petals were a little more sharp though.

I do like the glow behind this guy without it I think it would be lost. The softness, in this case, is not working for me though.

I like the halo effect around the rose. I think it does need a sharper focus on the petals.

I agree, the petals need to be really sharp. But I like the glow and your choice of deep blue in the background.

The focus needs to be on the petals and not on the stem. I have done this so many times myself. I like the processing, the lighter 'glow' behind the rose helps the rose stand out on its own. Good practice!

Great colors! Focus is a bit soft but seems to fit with the processing.

Beautiful composition, and I like how you added the spotlight. The flower itself looks somewhat soft, especially the parts closest to the viewer - for me, in this case, it doesn't quite work, somehow I keep expecting this one to be in focus both in front and at the mid level. Maybe it's just me.
