Love the tones on this.
The background flower blur doesn't seem natural and if you dropped the levels on it a touch and added a rough film grain to it, it would feel better - well maybe in these old eyes anyway.. |

Masking and dodging...lol..something I have yet to learn. I think I see what you mean...a shadow effect to the right of the top petal? Might have happened with the soft focus effect. If I try to fix it...I'm sure I will muck it up! |

Don't you just love columbines, so delicate and almost old fashioned looking. I don't think I've seen the all yellow so this is a nice treat. The second is almost a mirror image of the front one, good capture |

Lovely soft yellows and greens accented with the dark border...gorgeous. It may just be me but I do see one spot at the upper edge of the top petal that looks as if you have a little bleed over from your dodging. If you try masking around the flower first and then dodge, you can cut down on that happening. |

Evelyn this is so pretty, the lemon "meringue-ness" of the columbine shows off nicely against that dark green background. I like the feeling of a reflection int he second flower...

Thank you! I agree with your comment about the definition. My camera doesn't focus well at close range. |
