Taken this morning, in the back yard.
It's actually a flower on Gourd plant.

Kit lens with +3 closeup adapter.

Lovely! The stem on the right is slightly distracting, but overall a very good shot. Excellent lighting and DOF. I love that the veins are showing in the back petals and underside of the leaf.

my, how gourd-geous!! Really wonderful detail of the stamen & the petals, and a white flower at that!

Actually, the yellow squash flowers are quite delish to eat: pick them early am when they are open, dredge in egg & breadcrumbs & then sautee in olive oil flavored with a bit of garlic..yummy. Even better with mayo!
