very basic edit .. crop, levels, resize, save for web ...
here is the story of this photograph ..
i havent been able to walk much for three weeks coz i hurt my foot .. today i decided to walk the firetrail which is a walk i usually do at least 5 times a week .. get lots and lots and lots of photographs on the firetrail .. anyway its really boggy and muddy at the moment coz we've had heaps of rain, and you cant actually walk on the track .. i took this shot as the sun was sinking behind the trees .. it was very beautiful ..
coming back i was thinking how good it was walking and not limping, and really enjoying being able to walk like a 'normal' person and not all gimpy or gammy or wotever the word is .. you know .. the gammy leg thing .. just looked up 'gammy' in the dict and it says crippled .. limping because of a pulled tendon doesnt make me crippled tho ..
anyway .. i'm walking home thinking how good it is to actually walk and buggar me, i tripped on a root or something, twisted my knee and fell over .. i dont have a knee-cap on the knee that copped the twist .. fortunately the ground was a bit soft and my camera didnt get hurt .. i didnt even have time to 'save' it coz it happened so fast ...
my knee is swollen and i dont think i'll be able to drive to the dentist tomorrow coz i drive a manual car ... i had a packet of frozen peas on it for half an hour .. the knee, not the car !!

omg woman. First - i did not even know that you were hurt in the first place. Second - geez - ouch! Big hugs. You gotta be careful! I am crossing my fingers for you for a quicker recovery.

As for the picture, I love the gradient in the sky. The blue to the yellow gold is a tremendous catch. Look forward to seeing more pics you take while sitting DOWN!!!!! :)

Sorry to hear about your fall and your body troubles. It's a lovely photo, btw. Ah, the sacrifices the photographer must make! :-)

Sorry about the knee. Really love the colors. My eye is drawn towards the pole and then upward and around.

Roz!! Good to see you in this side challenge :) Sorry about your knee love, but the photograph is great! I sure hope you have someone to drive you to the dentist tomorrow too...

Funny, but a lot of people clone out power lines and poles... I think they leave a sense of realism in the photograph. After all, we live with them every day. You got an excellent angle on them and they compliment the photo well :)

ooh, ouch. Sorry about your knee.

The power lines work here to draw attention to the sunset colors at the horizon.

Ooo, so sorry to hear about the re-injury :-( But your image is lovely! While the telephone lines are the main focus, I'm really drawn to the iridescent clouds -- nice capture of atmospheric optics!

The photo is gorgeous, Roz... the story is shocking! I'm so sorry you hurt your knee in addition to already having the sore foot. Dang. Read my last email for hints and tips regarding injuries.

Glad you're joining this side challenge! My first photo was not so popular, though I still think it's so weird that it's cool. Anyway... :o)

I'm off to swim and take my daily shot for this thread. OXOX A.

Gorgeous colors, and great silhouettes! I'm sorry about the fall though! I guess you could say you sacrificed your body for the photo... ;)

Ohhhh blimey, first things first sorry you have not been too chipper and as for the fall on the way home from taking this well let me say you have suffered for your art, but its totally worth it. I have a hatred of telegraph poles and wires (long story they messed up some shots I was trying to take this weekend), but you could convert my thinking. Beautiful colours and I like the leading lines. Nice start

Ouch! Hope you do better soon. I know what you feel like being cooped up in the house. But you did get a lovely shot. 8) I really like the clouds and the telephone lines and pole do pull you into the shot.
