Location: Fót (Hungary)

These are the lights of Cora (a hypermarket) from the parking place of BricoStore. I used a 55mm Hama Glitter / Cross Screen 8x filter on the camera to gain the starry effect on the lights.

PS: selective colour adjustment (neutral / black +100, black / black +10), border.

The starlight effect is too strong here.

Star filters are always fun. I've used them in several challenge shots. I think in this shot they are meant to be the focal point, and they just dominate the image. I'd rather see them as an accent instead of the subject. I think the stars need to be greatly diminished so that you could expose this picture more without the stars overpowering the image even more.

The bursts of light are really cool, don't car for the cars in the foreground though.

I love the starburst from the lights. Did you use a filter or just a long exposure? The comp works very well as well. I find the picture has a very old fashioned feel about it. Well done. 8

INteresting details. The refracted light is so interesting, and the details provide interesting clues as to what this shot is all about. It is difficult, however, to add up all of the clues with the evidence given, so it is not quite an abstract and not quite a shot about anything in particular. It's somewhere in the middle.

Overall interest : 1/3
Technical : 2/3 (apply the rules of third to the spot light had improved IMHO)
Challenge meeting : 1/2 (The night shot add a night mood, but no more)
WOW factor : 1/2 (lighting effects)
