this was definitely one of my favorite photos of the challenge. unfortunately it wasn't received all that well. while it doesnt portray sci-fi all that well it still is a great piece of art.

The story "The Fly" (if that's indeed what it was called) comes to mind. I do not think it too busy at all. I am in awe of the construction of the image - from the basic shots through the finished product. The ability to do that this well is why I don't do expert challenges. I'd never have a) come up with an idea, nor b) "seen" the execution as well as this.

This composition is fantastic, and I'm not just saying that because there are birds in it. :) The black border works very well with this.

Strange composite. Unfortunately, it's more abstract than anything else, and looks to be more creative art than photograph. But it still looks good overall.

Don't really know what to make of this image. For me it just doesn't give me a strong enough feeling or sense of emotion that your title would lead me to believe it should have.
