 this is at the sydney international airport railway station .. my daughter ali and my niece ann-marie are going away for 7 weeks, first stop edinburgh .. so yesterday me and chanel, who is ali's best friend, went to the airport to see them off ..
i took a whole heap of photographs in the airport terminal using my tripod for some interesting effects .. there are so many ppl taking photographs there that i thought i'd slip thru the cracks and not be asked to put my camera away like i usually do at the mall or wherever ... but IT HAPPENED !! .. .. spose the fact that i was using the tripod might'v got them worried !!..
this is the escalator going down to the railway station .. was asked to put my camera away there too!! .. this was taken after i was asked to put the camera away riding down the escalator to the train platform ... i think i have a legal right to take photographs in a train station .. i looked it up during the candid challenge ... legal rights of photographers in australia
anyway, i got the interesting effect on this image with this action ..cross processing .. nick nixter sent me the link last night .. check out his amazing photographs and the incredible effects he has got with shadows, contrasts, etc etc and this action .. while you're visiting you will be totally blown away by his other work as well .... i am !!
han biteme used this action or something similar on a beach scene which is on her profile page and it looks extraordinary ... she calls it an urban acid action ..

Careful, Roz, once you start you just can't stop. You'll start trying this on every shot you take!!! This is cool, escalators have some great shapes and textures that suite this processing. Nice work!!
