didn't find image very attractive. Also very softly focused and way low in contrast

I personally am a huge fan if texture images like this but this image isn't popping for me. I think could use some contrast/saturation work to really grab that detail and show it off. Also, It might be interesting to see the entire subject in focus.

Lots of old layers of paint on an old bolt. The reds make me think of a fire hydrant, but I'm not sure why a piece of metal would go around that, or why they would have painted it silver or orange later on. Great detail and texture here.

Layer on layer of paint, good detail there. Looks like a nut and bolt, probably on some old peice of machinery or vehicle. Or it could be the top of a fuel/propane tank or a fire hydrant.

Fire hydrant that has seen many years of use and repainting. Good placement and sharp focus on the end of it.

my guess is a bolt on a fire hydrant, in or near a coastal city, perhaps Gulfport Mississippi.

I think this shot is a little too wide to be a macro...however it is a interesting shot with good DOF and framing.

Okay this one's got me going to totally different directions for a guess and they may both be wrong but first guess is the positive part of a car battery and the second guess is part of a fire hydrant?
