Pistil casting shadows onto a flower petal. Smaller image than most, but the "most unidentifiable" :)

Post challenge: I confess, I took some liberties. I had no macro handy, so I took an existing image , and cropped it to produce the image you see here. Part of the reason the submitted image is so small. (Also, if I made it larger, you would have seen more petals, and then mo mystery).

Too Tiny for me. If you have photoshop check out "Image--> Image Size" then set the largest side to 640 Pixels. Interesting subject though.

Too small but I'm sure you have heard that several times in this challenge. :) otherwise it is an interesting photo (what I can see of it...)

I think that is the shadow cast by a flower pistil/stamens on a petal, isn't it?

Looks like the inside of a flower casting a shadow on the petals.....image is a bit too small to properly judge, sorry.

Shadow of the pistil and stamen inside of a yellow flower? I'm sure many are commenting on the small size of the shot. There is a tutorial in the learning section about resizing shots for challenges if you feel it would be helpful to read.

A little small ...

it wud be nice if you use all 640 pixels

This is really cool, but the image size matters a lot in a challenge! If this were a 640x640, I would have probably scored this a 7.
I'm looking forward to your next entry.

This image is too small, it will affect the score i think. I haven´t voted in this challenge, make your entry at least 600 pixels at the widest and maybe add a border
06/21/2007 08:38:13 AM
not sure (image is way to small)

The stamen of a flower cast as a shadow on the petal.

i think this image would be a lot stronger if it was bigger.

I am guessing this is the inside of a flower seen from underneath?

I am this is so small, I am sure you are getting voted down. From what I can tell, it looks like the shadow of the inside of a flower through the flower petal.

Good idea, but your image is too small. You are allowed to post images up to 640 pixels on the long side. If you need help figuring out how to make images for challenges, ask in the forums, or look at this tutorial: //www.dpchallenge.com/tutorial.php?TUTORIAL_ID=26. ~4

This is one of very few way too small pictures that may actually do OK. Good luck, and I'd recommend submitting 640 pixel pictures in the future. Looks like a shadow of the inside of a flower showing through it's petals?

I'm making a guess that you are new to DPC. The size of your shot is very small. You probably already have a lot of comments saying that though. When you resize the image make it 640 pixels at its longest side. I'll take a guess on your shot. Is it a flower with the shadow of another flower behind it and the whole shot is turned 90 degrees?
