 A close-up of the back of my digital voice recorder.

Converted from RAW, slight rotate and crop, adjustment layers for slight adjustments to levels and selective color. Removed noise and used USM. Resize/save for web.

Congratulations to blindjustice for correctly guessing, not only the object (digital recorder) but what brand it is. I am impressed, and can only assume Paul has one himself. :) Good job!

The "eyes" are the back sides of the microphones, the "mouth" is the playback speaker. The recorder itself is only about 1.5 inches wide.

Nice job with lighting to pull the textures out. I personally would like to see the subject photographed straight on to accent the symmetry of the subject. The DOF also seems a hair off.

Interesting in the fact that I have no clue what it is but it also doesn't hold my interest very long. I think if I wasn't trying to figure it out I would just be clicking "next" and moving on. Not sure if what would help make it more eye catching, sorry.
