Unfortunately I was within 2 meters of this bird and zoomed in for some close head shots when he decided he had had enough. A quick zoom out as he spread his wings to move on and unfortunately could not get back far enough to get both wings completely.

HEE HEE - he almost looks like a cartoon. I like how he fills the frame. Nicely done.

great shot and i really like your processing ..
i met up with some other dpc ppl this sunday at terrigal, which is north of sydney .. they have pelican feeding there and of course being dpc ppl we took some photographs!! .. i never realised how weird their eyes are coz i'd never seen them up close before .... owen owen, who was there on sunday, has an absolutely incredible pelican shot on his profile page, and when i first saw it i thought he'd photoshopped the eyes!!! .. but they're a very photogenic bird i reckon .. :):)
