Watering can? I was thinking salt shaker, but seems that there are little bits of stuff coming out of the holes... like grasses maybe that got in the can? Nice dof and I like that the background color plays off of the rusty color.

Looks like an old tea infuser ball. The rust and pieces of tea poking through the holes shows lots of character in it.
