when i was at the mall taking candid shots
there was a group of friends there that were all blind
i was so overtaken with emotion. i wasnt really sure how to feel. i wasnt sure if i should take pictures or not. i just didnt know if it was right. however, it made me think about how different my life would be without my eyesight. i was then overcome with joy and thankfulness that i can see this beautiful world.

shanny .. when i saw this as a thumb i thought it was a real cat ... wot a surprise when i opened it .. then i read your comment .. my mum, who was an incredible oil painter lost her sight gradually in the last 7 years of her life ... it was the saddest thing to see ... she had macular degeneration which can be hereditary and lots of much older ppl get it .. she died last year at the age of 91 but she was able to die in her own bed for which we, as a family were very grateful ... she was ready to go and my family and i spent heaps of time with her before she went ... she lived an hour and a half from where i live .. i wore that road out driving to see her all the time!!! ... i miss her so much ...
i sometimes imagine if i could even live without my sight .. it is my world ... and then i think of ppl who have lost their sight and i feel very very sad for them, but i also feel gratitude for the blessings in my life ... :):)xxx
