This is a shot that could have benefited form a shallow DOF to but the background as this detail detract form the leaves. The leaves do form good compositional elements, but do not stand out well from background.
I like how you've composed it diagonally. It gives a sense of the shoots reaching outward form the ground, plus it uses the space in the shot well. Good job.
