Hi,
I edited my comment made during the voting. I really don't know how it got there. Sorry,
Gina

Congratulations on your first challenge! It's all uphill in the votes from here, of that I'm sure! Now let's see some of those excellent shots I know you can do!

Unfortunately I can relate.

It certainly tells a story, but I can hardly bear to look at it, and I\\\'m not sure that\\\'s a good thing.

Don't know how this comment got here - it did not belong to this photo. Sorry.

The reflection on the scale didn't quite work. I think it either needed to be taken out, or slightly more detail of the person looking down needed to be included.

Interesting reflection on the face of the scale Maybe next Janurary when they have the follow up challenge theme "Resolutions Accomplished" You'll be a double winner. I would have scored this photo lower except I may end up getting less of the excellent food you cook up.... So I would say keep up the excellent cookin' stick to the 'Caloric input/output theme and pass the plate over to me...

Cute Toes

The light reflection on the scale is distracting.

Will we see another photo when you hit... 250 or 225??? Good luck!

good resolution (both photographically and otherwise :) White balance is a bit not quite on, and the light reflecting in the scale is a minus, however your shadow showing in there adds to the photo.

The light on the dial is distracting. But good luck!

Great idea. To make this better, the dial needs to have no refection/glare spot

Good fit to the theme. Technically weak though. Different lighting would have been better, to avoid the reflection hot spots on the glass and the overall color cast. If that's a belly in the foreground, to have had it more in focus, and lit so that was the same flesh tone as the feet, would have been clearer and less distracting.

Alas, your reflection is in the face of the scale, silhouetted by the harsh lights overhead. Fix those two things and you have a picture.
