taken at home,
crop resize, sharpen, brightness and contrast to get a semi high key effect,
applied a little soft focus to the whole image as it was a little on the sharp side.

I love this image as it shows the very best of my boy Dylan whom is just so innocent at 4 years of age.

On a side note i hope it scores well as this is a very personal shot to myself and mum.

Thanks for the comments, good and bad. I feel a lot of voters really did not understand that this was a deliberate high key shot. From the set up to the processing.
As i said above i think this is the best ever shot of my son.
This one is for you Dylan,

Score be damned, Darren, this is an exceptional high key portrait that speaks to me of the brilliance and wonder of childhood.

I like this one better because the eggbeater in the other one just didn't seem to fit in...what is a child doing with an eggbeater? but i like this high key shot alot, a little more sharpness in the eyes would make it just perfect :)

Absolutely disagree with everything he said. I think this is a GREAT shot, perfect as is. I wish I would have voted this challenge ... you would have been upped in score.

Darren...I like this just the way you processed it. I think you got robbed on your score.

Darren, I think this shot is fantastic. You did a great job with the processing. The DPC crowd just doesn't seem to like it when skin tones aren't absolutely normal. Oh well, that's their loss. This is so well composed.
