love the baby staring in delight. perhaps thinking, 'i want what he's having'.

I like the child in the corner, basically because I find babies in bars so out of place :) I like the moment too, I want to know who he is with, he seems to be traveling or something because across the table appears to be a big fold out map.

Great image Sevil, one of my favorites in the challenge - not only because it's a great image but also generates *alot* of opinion - from a photographic standpoint. I really like the lighting here - makes the shot really (amazing what the old D70 and a kit lens can do :). I also really like the cup - makes me think the viewer just stood up from their beer and took the photo, really clever for helping bring us into the shot. Finally, the most discussed part - the people exiting stage L. I'm not really liking them in the shot too much - looking at your coments it seems half and half. I personally feel the image would have been better without them, but the great thing is you really bring us interesting images to look at and think about - thanks again for that.

Excellent Sevil. I didn't pick this one as yours, but I did pick it as one of my top choices in this challenge. Love the story here! And thank you for not cropping out the kid. :-)

Love the B&W, Sevil! and that kid!!! :)

Did you stop for a couple of refreshing ales, while you were there? : )

Oh yes, this was one that kept me spellbound. Moments passing by, others hidden in the shadows. Lots of stories to be found. The little girl, the map, what's he reading? Great stuff Sevil...

Perhaps crop out the baby on the left which will also make the subject less of a bullseye. Nice tones to this. I like it!

I would suggest cropping this differently. The guy is interesting, but the baby sort of ruins the shot. It's very distracting.

I like the kid on the side. Nice lighting.

It seems a bit dark, and the kid on the left is a bit distracting, but otherwise it is a captivating shot

a good candidate for b/w but I personally don't see the point of leaving the partial woman and child in the shot

Right side of the picture is too dark...

Good moody shot, love the anomaly of the smiling child in what looks to be a dark dingy tavern. Lovely lighting

Nice capture - Like the tones and sharpness - Maybe just a bit too much of the map showing as it leaves a lot of nothing above it.

Extremely nice conversion to B&W, nice perspective.

Great command of the lighting. You used it well to emphasize the subject. I'm sure you went back and forth with cropping and the baby. Just holding my hand up on the left side I think I would have prefered no baby (although she certainly is cute!)

I love the processing - stunning B&W. For me the child ruins it I would have been tempted to cull it and the person holding it. But yu seem to know what you're doing - GRIN!

Good details. I like the little girl looking into the image but I feel you really need some more contrast on this one.

This is the second shot so far this challenge where the first thing I saw wasn't the subject but the person that is chopped off at the edge of the shot. I think that this would have been more powerful if you had cropped the person and kid off the left of frame and given it a more common rule of thirds type of composition. Still a very nice and difficult capture with the lighting conditions.

Like the way the light is focused.

I can’t decide if the kid adds to the composition or distracts, but I like the pic overall. 7

I think it may have improved the overall composition if you had cropped out the child and/or tighter crop on the subject... Good Luck.

I like the tones and focus but cropping out the people on the left would have helped tremendously.

Composition feels too unbalanced. The baby on the left feels accidental rather than deliberate. Same with the person in the background. The light and table is nice though!

'tis good.
but i think it would be better if you had cropped the kid out.
