 a rural scene, a lone girl playing atop the branches of a tree. she still noticed me at the last second before I clicked my shutter (in spite of my distance). I have shots in the series where the girl was not looking at me but I liked her expression here. I reviewed previous challenges and I found out it was not necessary for the subject to NOT look into the camera. There were lots of "posed" subjects that appeared candid that did well too. This one is definitely not posed. I am a total stranger to her.

I still prefer the uncropped image but the girl will appear very small on a 640px image. I desaturated the image a bit but enhanced the yellows. Basic editing.

Good expression but the arms, cloths, some of the branches and background seem overexposed.

This is such a lovely composition: the motion blur in the background is terrific and she is mostly sharp. I just find the highlights too hot. The whole image had been underexposed by 1, you could have used some dodge on her face... she might have seemed like a little fairy in the trees.

Super shot although it does not necessarily say candid to me especially as the child is looking directly to camera. nice bokeh
