I just thought this was beautiful. I loved the depth of field with the clear sharpness. I took this when I went to do a photoshoot at a waterfall with my freind and she just looked so happy in the fresh water and I caught her off guard with this one. I hope it does well.

I agree with your post challenge comments. I too received comments about my candid looking posed, I think that people tend to forget that as humans we do the most interesting things when we figure no one's watching. Isn't that the idea of a candid. That being said, I always show my subject, the photos that I've taken and ask if I can use them.

Since this particular subject was the subject of your photo shoot, I doubt obtaining permission was difficult.

Beautiful capture, great depth of field and deserved a far greater place than 109. You have ever right to be happy with this photo. Keep up the good work.

Beautiful capture! I also like the DOF. The lighting is excellent and the composition is flawless. I didn't vote on this during the challenge, but I would have given it a 9.

Sometimes it suprises me how a picture this good only gets 109th place! I only wish that I can take a picture this beautiful one day! Great job, idea, picture, etc!

Great photo, I thought this would have done much higher in the scoring. Don't you just love those looks posed comments. If that were the case, I think over 1/2 of the photo's in the challenge looks posed, and most of the previous Candid challenge winners also.

Very pretty expression and nicely lit face- not sure about the deep shadows on her neck- hard to distinguish dark hair from dark/shaded skin. I still like it though. 8.
