 I know, I know, this wasn't a very good candid shot. I was mad at myself for submitting it. It was capable of a few more points than this. Thanks to you voters who still looked at it as a photo for what it is NOT what it should have been.

I was messing around in our barn and saw this guy beside one of the workbenches. Since I was trying to get a "Painting With Light" shot, I had my camera in hand. I actually used a little led light for lighting instead of my flash to get the desired shadow.

:) Be proud Brandon! The brown ribbon is yours, something that not many have attained. It is a good shadow and if we could just see the spiders face...

Ahh yes...the spider...lol!! Don't worry Brandon...we all have those 'what was I doing there' photos...that is part of what makes us who we are...usually just crazy...but ourselves nonetheless...lol!!

Now smile...and get that camera clicking for the next challenge.. ;)

Okay...it is a nice capture of a shadow...but the processing with the right bottom foreground area being kept light and the rest blurred...really doesn't work. Also...where is the person?

Insects just aren't aware of being photographed. They behave the same way no matter what. I can't see this as candid.
