When I originally shot this photo, I had the f-stop way up so all the stages of the flower were in focus. But after reviewing the photo I lowered the F-Stop down to 5.6 because the background was way to cluttered. So I changed my plan and rearranged the flowers' depth from each other by bringing the middle one closer (it was a little small) and by pushing the dead one back. By doing this, the big, living flower head is in focus, the middle stage is slightly out of focus, and the dead one is blurred.
I did a slight color balance, but besides that, the only other alteration in this photo is the size and border.
