I went to one of the parks in our town and was hoping that there would be people out doing "candid" things.

This young mother pushing her son on a swing was perfect!
Not wanting to be "that guy with the camera on the playground," I asked her if it was okay if I took some photos of her playing. She was cool with it. Apprehensive, but cool. I gave her my email in case she wanted the photos. I figured quid-pro-quo.

This is the first image I've done with a border. We'll see if that helps my score any. :)

Hi Dan,

Cute image:

Composition - I like your use of the dead space here works well, also like the placement of your subjects.

Framing - well done plenty of room for swings forward motion. Also like the way they both stand out against the backround.

Focus - Does seem a bit soft to me.

Exposure - colors are nice and strong, I do see a slight hot spot right behind babies head on her back (green shirt).

The distraction I see here is that blue rope or something on the ground to her left.

I like the composition and the expression on the little guy's face; he doesn't seem so sure about things

Hmmm I am not sure if that child feels comfort or trepidation, well composed although possibly could have done with a slightly sharper focus

I like the us of negative space on this. i do not like the tattoo on the womans ankle though, it just looks out of place in this photo...

Nice work but the focus isn't on the subjects.

This looks more like a setup shot than a candid. You can't tell me she didn't know you were there.
