 I was planning to enter it in the May free study, but somehow missed the deadline :). Oh well...

This is shot at night in a small park near La Jolla Cove. The scene is lit by those terrible yellow-orange sodium street lamps which cover most of the city of San Diego (the urban legend says that this is for the benefit of the Palomar observatory, I am not so sure about that). The color cast they produce is so strong that it cannot be completely removed by changing color temperature in RAW conversion, but in this case I did not even tried that, but wanted to use this cast for a "surreal" Dali-like effect.

Unbelievable scene. These trees suffer from deep anxiety and regrets. They look a bit like old vines. What are they?
My dancing ones that reminded you of your trees suffer from a bland approach I think. Perhaps some yellow light ....?

this is awesome! if the city in the background was black it might make it look more isolated, but the photo is great either way!
