comment after voting ...
this is not a vase ... its a glass that has great sentimental value .. it belonged to my mother who died exactly a year ago today .. 4th June 2007 ...

i'm not that keen on water myself and drinking 8 glasses a day i'd have an expression similar on my face too .. !!

Love the softness here. And the white vignetting. Not sure if I would have picked this busy glass here, takes my attention away from the subject: the water, and her eyes.

Very nice!

I have sentimental shots that did not do well, but folks came back and offered kind words.

Hey Roz - I don't remember this photo at all, though per the red bar, I voted it a 7 at the time.

Looking at it now, it's totally amazing - I love the lightness, the white vignette, the smoothness, the water drinker's expression and the beautiful glass.

And reading the comments, the voters really didn't get it, did they? Too bad, because this should have scored a whole point higher. You were just ahead of your time, my friend.

This is ridiculous - 208th place...???
I had expected to see this at least in top 20. Well, I like it and think it deserved much more than this.

Hi Roz,

Love your work on the photo. Dont particularly like this photo or the expression, it takes away from it? But the way you have worked the image is excellent.

Welcome back to the entering challenges and voting world hehe. Now that I read your description, I have to say that I love the dreamy effect you put in with your vignette. That is a beautiful piece of glass! Your model doesn't look to happy to be drinking from it tho lol.

Big hugs to you as you go thru your rememberances today.

Too much water! I never meet that requirement. Great expression on this. I like how soft this feels while still retaining a crisp look.
