Shot this on a whim at about 3am. When I had the idea, it was pretty foggy and would've had a much nicer effect.. but by the time I got out, the fog was gone and I settled for this.

A cop came by and was running a license plate check on my vehicle parked about 50 feet away or so (guess he didn't notice me?) - asked him what was going on and he asked for ID and ran a background check on me and the whole bit... he didn't seem to buy that I was just out "taking pictures of the sign", but left after a few minutes.

Anyways, there was HEAVY lens flare no matter what angle I shot from. A semi-extreme amount of digital darkroom work (cloning, dodging, burning, hue/saturation, contrast, etc - definitely would not have looked similar to this without PS). Unfortunately, I think it has produced a very artificial look to this photo - but maybe only because I know what it originally looked like. Submitting it anyways, curious to see how it will do.

Hmmm... This light is green, so traffic along Victory Lane is stopped. ;-)

Sorry, couldn't resist. This photo conveys just the message the text suggests. I like the way the green light shines and the fact that the darkness in the photo isn't quite black (like the poster background is). Good composition; putting the light and sign so close to the edge of the photo is daring, but it works here because of the vast negative space.

Needs some light on the subject (sign) a flash to open the shadows would be enough. Just slightly though. Good idea though.

Someday we all get a green light. Good idea and execution.

Very interesting shot- I would strive for a more simplistic theme with this- it would be easier to take it all in. Nice lighting on the post.

I see a subliminal Niki commercial here. Simple but elegant. Nicely done. My only comment is that I don't even think the added mesaage ubder believe is necessary. Let the viewer supply it.

Composition is very good, but I would have give the text more space and the border a bit thinner.
